What to See and Do Around Brez
Brez is a small town of 738 residents located at 792 meters above sea level in the province of Trento, in the southern part of the Val di Non. The area is famous for its apple orchards that bloom in spring and produce their fruit in September and is perfect at any time of year. Typically, when we think of the Dolomites the first thing that comes to mind are the Christmas markets, skiing, and winter fun, but there is so much more!
In the immediate vicinity, guests can visit the Rio Sass Canyon with its waterfalls, stalactites, and stalagmites suitable for the entire family. Summer temperatures are mild with cool nights which make this area perfect for daytime trekking, mountain biking, horseback riding, kayaking, and more. Santa Giustina lake is just 15 minutes from the Agriturismo!
Of course, if you plan to visit in the winter, then the possibilities are also endless. Snowshoeing trails are prevalent throughout the area and skiing and snowboarding are just 45 minutes away at Madonna di Campiglio. And after an intense day of physical activity, you’ll want to relax at one of the wellness centers and spas in the area or in the agriturismo’s sauna.
For foodies, another option is taking a food and wine tour often in combination with a hike or horseback ride. An experience that combines Trentino’s delicious products with nature.
In just 40 minutes, guests can visit one of the most famous castles in all of Trentino, Castle Thun. Valer, Nanno, and Coredo Castles are also in the immediate area.
